Self love practice

When I have time for myself, I like to treat myself with care.

I have a fake fire in my living room that blows hot air over my naked skin and I love the crispy bedsheets in a fancy hotel. I love to dance, to bath and to paint my nails. I love to write and I love to touch myself to orgasm.

There is no one in the world who could be a better lover to me than myself - I know all about my own pleasures.

According to science, pleasure together with a meaningful life are the two components to happiness. I have decided that I am going to live a happy life. So I give myself meaningful pleasure as much as I can in life. I indulge in it. I surround myself with it.

Being alone doesn't mean that I have to lack pleasure and meaning. When I have time for myself I do all those things that I know I like and that I do not necessarily want to do with others. I give myself the love I deserve.

Treating myself like a queen gives me a big portion of healthy self love. It gives me the kind of self love that radiates around me, not the fake one that is made by spiritual bypass and positive words written on my mirror. Giving myself pleasure fills me with the kind of self love that allows my flaws and shortcomings, not the kind of self love that lifts me up above others.

Giving myself time and pleasure makes me beautiful and loving and is the best cure for depression or anxiety.
